Last year I started occasionally making a piece of jewelry that took more inspiration, thought and time than some of my work. I started giving these pieces historical ladies names. This necklace, I have called Guinevere. It looks special for a special lady, yet deep, rich and royal. There are three semi-precious stones; carved jade, agate and smoky topaz. Beaded beads made of rusty, caramel colored fire polish glass beads, add texture and spice to the necklace. The central focus of the necklace is the inverted tear drop sterling silver pendant, that has fluid shapes and a bail riveted to it with a mix of copper and sterling silver. The hook closure repeats the rivets and shapes found in the pendant in copper and sterling silver. All in all Guinevere would love this necklace.
